System and process safety is based on transmitting the correct measured values from sensor to transmitter. What makes pH measurement particularly difficult is that sensors with glass membranes must measure small voltage signals at ultra high resistance (gigaohm range). Moisture and dirt can lead to measurement failure if metal contacts are used.
Memosens technology solves the problem: The measured values are digitized in the sensor and transferred to the transmitter without any contacts at all. Inductive connection means the system can even be used effectively under water.
